Despite some reports claiming othervwise, Zidane appears to be keen on keepeing Lucas at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid have already started negotiations with Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez over extending their respective contracts, according to Spanish newspaper ABC.
The trio's current deals expire in 2021.
Ramos is likely to be offered a two-year extension.
Modric and Vazquez, in turn, are set to be presented with one-year options.
Lucas' extension is more a questionable one but Zinedine Zidane likes the player's attitude and the number of positions that the 29-year-old can cover, as per the source.
