Source: Suarez is believed to be pushing for Barcelona stay

People within the club believe that Luis Suarez is trying to force through a Barcelona stay, Mundo Deportivo's Fernando Polo reports.

The striker has offers from Juventus and Atletico Madrid on the table but he isn't too quick to accept them.

The 33-year-old is determined to get the remaining part of his salary, around €15m, if he is to leave, although he is said to be blocking the negotiations with the club.

Still, Ronald Koeman doesn't count on Suarez and he's proven that by omitting him from the squad for the Gimnastic friendly.

Meanwhile, it's been reported that Luis is waiting to take his Italian language exam as he looks to obtain Italian citizenship ahead of a Juve move.

Suarez's contract at Barca expires in 2021 but his deal could be extended for one more year if he stays and plays 60% of the matches next season.
