Tottenham striker Heung-Min Son happy to captain Spurs for first time

Heung-Min Son was delighted to be captain for Tottenham's friendly defeat to Watford on Saturday.

The South Korean star wore the captain's armband for the first time at Spurs, and led from the front in their final pre-season match at Watford, including a dash the length of the field to clear the ball off the line in the last minute!

“It's a big honour to wear the captain's armband for this club, such a huge club," Son told his club's website.

“Sadly, there were no fans here and it wasn't on TV, but still I'm proud and I'm looking forward to doing it again one day.

“Yes, and we fought until the end," he added. “We all wanted a positive result before the start of the season next weekend (Everton at home in the Premier League on Sunday week, 13 September, 4.30pm) and we tried to come back and win the game."
