Vinicius opens up on importance of Real Madrid harsh pre-season training

The Brazilian winger believes Madrid players’ training at home has helped them cope with the intensity of the training sessions.

Vinicius has praised the work of Madrid’s fitness coaches to help keep the players in top shape.
He also insists to be feeling very good physically ahead of the new season.

Speaking on the importance of pre-season training for Real Madrid ahead of the La Liga season, Vinicius Jr told Real Madrid TV: “We've all been working at home, so it's easier for us all to come back.

“We have to suffer now in order to succeed over the course of the season. We know this work is important and [Real Madrid fitness coach] Gregory [Dupont] always prepares the best work for us and has very clear ideas so we can be in really good shape.

“I feel very good physically because I did lots of days' work before returning to training with the team.

“I'm always very focused on pre-season because I know it's the most important work to avoid getting injured.”

The Brazilian winger is clearly delighted to be back playing with his teammates and has also overcome the disappointment of being snubbed in the game against Man City last season.

Vinicius still faces the threat of competing with Eden Hazard for a place in the first XI, but he seems to be extra motivated to have a special campaign with Los Blancos this time around.
