Werner's sharpness, Tomori's brilliant performance & 6 positives from Chelsea vs Liverpool

It was not all bad at the Bridge yesterday despite a 2-0 loss to Liverpool - Tribuna.com takes a look at some positives from the game.

Tomori's brilliant cameo: The centre-back came on in the second half and made a game-high 8 clearances, 2 tackles, 2 interceptions and completed almost 97 per cent of his passes.

Lampard praised the youngster's performance too.

Werner looked sharp: He could not get the goal and was troubled by Fabinho a little but the striker ran into very good spaces, played some good passes and his pace troubled the Liverpool defence. 6 dribbles and 1 key pass in what was a decent showing for the striker who will only get better with time.

Kante was everywhere: A man who barely disappoints! N'Golo Kante covered the entirety of the field and was arguably our man of the match last night. 38 passes, 4 tackles, 3 interceptions and 2 clearances - the midfielder also put a positive spin on the defeat as he looks forward to the next game.

Kepa wasn't as horrible as it seems: The error leading to goal was inexcusable but the keeper's overall performance was pretty good. 3 saves, 10 long passes completed, 2 high claims, 2 stops from inside the box and a great save at the end from Mane's shot.

The game was well-poised before the red card: The team was moving the ball well and we had a couple of chances to score as the Liverpool attack was kept at bay. Unfortunately, the red card changed everything.

Our best team is yet to play: Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and Hakim Ziyech are yet to make their Chelsea debuts. Kai Havertz had to be subbed off at half-time and Christian Pulisic is also yet to play this season - when all of these players are on the same field together, we're sure things will be much better for us!
