Arsenal midfielder Ozil finally react and lends his voice to #EndSARS protests in Nigeria

Nigerian people are demanding the end of police oppression by the Special Anti-Robbery Unit.

And Mesut Ozil has joined the campaign to spread awareness about the crimes committed by SARS.

"Horrible to hear what’s been going on in Nigeria," Mesut Ozil tweeted. "Let's make this a trending topic everywhere. End SARS.

"My thoughts go out to everyone who has been affected. End Police Brutality."

The people of Nigeria currently demand the country's government to scrap the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

SARS have been accused of kidnapping, murder, theft, rape, torture, unlawful arrests, extrajudicial killings and other crimes, with video-evidence to back up the accusations.

Ian Wright, Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa and Marcus Rashford are among prominent football figures who have spoken up against police oppression in Nigeria. There is a global movement to make the Nigerian government put an end to SARS.
