Barcelona squad Top 5 biggest transfer value upgrades and declines for 2020/2021 season
This season has seen Barcelona youngsters go up, veterans go down – it has always been like that. below is list of some upgrade and downgrade
Top 5 upgrades
Pedri – 108%
Sounds surreal right? Our wonderkid is now worth €15m which was not the case in spring when he was rated at just €7.2m. Hopefully, his next upgrade will be even more remarkable!
Ansu Fati – 60%
The 17-year-old has had a breakthrough start to the season and deserved a €30m rise that makes him cost €80m – he's now just €20m behind Leo Messi! What a rise.
Ronald Araujo – 50%
Everyone sees massive potential in this guy, and Transfermarkt added €5m to his initial cost of €10m. During the season, however, this figure may rise to something truly big.
Francisco Trincao – 20%
The Portuguese winger impressed at Braga in 2020 and made a couple of substitute appearances for Barcelona already. Transfermarkt added €5m to his value of €25m in August 2020.
Sergino Dest – 11.1%
The pattern is easy – if one joins Barca, his price tag gets bigger. Sergino Dest is not an exception here, his cost has risen from €18m to €20m.
Top 5 declines
Sergi Roberto – 50%
Although he's our first-choice right-back right now, Sergi Roberto has nothing to boast about as his price tag drops down to... €20m. In fact, Manchester City reportedly planned to purchase him for about €50m in the summer.
Sergio Busquets – 46.4%
We all see how rapidly Busi is ageing, and it's reflected in his price as well. Transfermarkt value him at just €15m now.
Samuel Umtiti – 37.5%
It's easy to forget about Big Sam's existence as he regularly gets sidelined. Surprisingly, the €20m-rated Umtiti is not our cheapest centre-back now – 33-year-old Pique is valued at €15m.
Neto – 31%
Despite making a few starting appearances for Barca in the new season, a campaign with no much game time has impacted Neto's price tag a lot as he's now worth just €10m.
Junior Firpo – 30%
The former Betis star has failed to impress as Jordi Alba's back up so far and enjoys (or not really) a downgrade from €20m to €14m.
