Chelsea officially send their defender Malang Sarr on loan to Porto

Luckily, the transfer window in Portugal is still open.

Malang Sarr will spend the next season on loan at Porto, the Portuguese club's official Twitter account confirms.

The centre-back was always expected to be loaned out for the 2020/21 campaign after joining Chelsea this summer.

Unlike in the top five leagues, the transfer window is open until October 25 in Portugal which makes this deal possible.

Deployed both at left-back and centre-back, Sarr made 20 appearances across all competitions for his former team Nice last term and scored one goal.
