When asked about why he’s shared jibes back and forth with Jose Mourinho before Man United’s game against Tottenham Hotspur, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “We are in strange times at the moment, you’ve got to sometimes have a bit of fun as well.

“It was a couple of innocent comments, for me, Jose’s a very charismatic coach and manager and I’ve enjoyed in the media talking to him, enjoyed watching him, he’s a winner but I’m not one of these that really go into all these mind games.

“I’ve got ultimate respect for him as a coach and results and everything he’s given football.”

Ole showcased his cheeky side by taunting Mourinho’s problems with the height of the goalposts and how Tottenham were able to qualify for the Carabao Cup Round of 16 without having to play a game. Jose also bit back with some fiery comments of his own, but it seems our gaffer is ready to end this cheeky banter and get serious for the clash on Sunday.
