Statistics and passing map shows big difference between Koeman's and Setien's Barcelona play

The system used by Koeman adds more dynamism to Barca's attacks.

After drawing 2-2 with Celta Vigo last summer, Barcelona went on to beat the Galicians 3-0 a few months later, this time with Ronald Koeman as the head coach.

The passing maps of the two matches show a drastic difference between the ways the two coaches approached the match.

Under Quique Setien, Barca recorded more passes, but most of them were between the players positioned in the centre of the pitch.

Under Koeman, the fanks look more active, with Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto being the protagonists.

What's more, the players are positioned wider on the pitch and there's more space between them, which adds dynamism to our attacks.

Antoine Griezmann was the player least involved in the game but he played only 45 minutes as Koeman had to sub in a centre-back after Clement Lenglet's red card.
