'We have a lot of competition in attack': Barca boss Koeman refuses to rule out potential Dembele's exit amid Man United links

The Frenchman is not guaranteed a starting XI spot at Barca, though.

"Dembele is a Barcelona player, [his future] depends on what he thinks. Not spoken clearly with him about it. We will see, two days left," Ronald Koeman said of Ousmane Dembele's potential exit from Camp Nou on Saturday.

Man United have recently opened talks with the Catalans over a loan move for the Frenchman, according to reputable Fabrizio Romano.

Barca's technical director Ramon Planes, however, denied any negotiations with the Red Devils over Dembele on Friday.

Even if Koeman isn't sure about Ousmane's future at the club, the boss is counting on the 23-year-old if he stays.

"We have a lot of competition in attack. Ansu started the first two games ahead of him," the Dutchman added.

"If a player's not happy, they can speak to me and Ousmane has not said anything to me. If he stays, I'm counting on him and he will get chances to play."
