Vivianne Miedema up for FIFA's Player of the Year award

Vivianne Miedema has been nominated for The Best FIFA Women's Player in 2020 after outstanding 12 months.

She's hit 50 goals in Women's Super League for the first time since its inception.

That included finishing the 2019/20 campaign on 16 goals in 14 appearances.

Naturally, she finished the league's top scorer - and her 10 Champions League goals put her top there too.

Amazingly, GOAL named her second-best for the season, after an admittedly worthy opponent Pernille Harder, who had a brilliant individual and team season at Wolfsburg before joining Chelsea for a record fee.

Pernille is around to challenge Viv for FIFA's prize too, as well as 9 other candidates: Lucy Bronze, Delphine Cascarino, Caroline Graham Hansen, Jennifer Hermoso, Sam Kerr, So-Yun Ji, Saki Kumagai, Dzsenifer Marozsan and Wendie Renard.
