Barca Presidential Candidate Reveals What He’ll Do With Neymar If He Takes Over

Barcelona presidential candidate Toni Freixa doesn’t have the interest to bring Neymar back to the Nou Camp if he manages to win the elections in January.

The candidate says the Brazilian star is ‘not even among the top 30 players in Europe at the moment.

Since Neymar left Barcelona the Paris Saint-Germain forward has been linked with a return to the Spanish club.

However, if Freixa wins the elections, he won’t be chasing Neymar.

“Neymar, because of his performance, is not even among the 30 best players in Europe right now. If I were president, I would not sign him”, Freixa told Cadena SER.

The presidential candidate was keen to point out that the club is much bigger than one single player.

“The most important thing about Barcelona is Barcelona itself. We do not depend on anyone.”

Neymar is not expected to leave PSG next summer as the Parisians have confirmed that they have started talks on a new contract for their star forward.
