'We won't complain about it': Mourinho on Chelsea having two extra days to prepare for Spurs clash

Jose Mourinho has said Chelsea were 'lucky' to have played their Champions League game on Tuesday.

The Spurs manager added they wouldn't complain about the issue while complaining about the issue.

“In the Champions League, they have the option of Tuesday or Wednesday," Mourinho said during his pre-match press conference for Tottenham's Europa League game.

“In that case, they [Chelsea] were lucky this week that the draw gave them a Tuesday match that will allow them to prepare for the match on Sunday.

“But it’s not a new thing, it happens all the time — and we are not going to complain [about] it.”

Chelsea face Spurs on Sunday, November 29th giving the Blues two days more to prepare for the crucial Premier League clash.

It is important to note, however, that Spurs play at home and thus do not travel, while Chelsea had to travel to France for their game against Rennes.
