Griezmann: 'Messi told me I screwed him up when I rejected Barca at first, it hurt him'

Back in 2018 when Barca wanted to sign Griezmann, Messi told the media he was ready to welcome the Frenchman.

Antoine rejected the offer only to move to Camp Nou one year later.

Griezmann says he now has Leo's full support.

"I spoke with Leo when I arrived, and he told me that when I rejected the offer it screwed him up and it hurt him because he had made public comments. But well, now I was on his side, he told me that he was with me till death," Antoine Griezmann has told Movistar.

As a reminder, Barcelona tried to sign Griezmann in 2018 but the Frenchman released a documentary in which he announced he'll be staying at Atletico Madrid. One year later, he moved to Camp Nou.
