I'd say get out there': Chelsea loanee Jon Russell urges fellow youngsters to go out on loan

Jon Russell says youngsters should experience football at a different level to the U23s.

The midfielder is doing well during his loan spell with Accrington Stanley in League One.

“I’d say get out there, but if you are doing really well, playing first team for Chelsea then stay," Jon Russell told iFollow Stanley.

"But I’d just say get out there, see what different kind of football there is [compared] to U23s.”

Chelsea's loan system has been criticized in the past with the club not being able to keep talented players like De Bruyne and Ake happy.

In recent times though, it has produced notable players like Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Reece James.

Russell himself is on loan at League One Accrington Stanley, where he scored the winner in their 1-0 win against Northampton Town.
