Los Blancos have still had to reduce their wage limit by almost €200m from last season.
Real Madrid have set up the highest salary limit in La Liga with a wage cap of €468m for the season.
Los Blancos have surpassed FC Barcelona in this regard from last season, with the Catalans setting a salary cap of €382m – way down from €671m.
Madrid’s own salary cap has come down from €641m last season, due to wage cuts being implemented earlier this year.
Atletico Madrid have also been forced to reduce their wage limit to €252m because of Covid-19 having an impact on their finances.
Real were able to bring down their salary cap mostly thanks to the departures of James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale – both who helped clear a huge chunk of the wage bill.
