'Messi and Griezmann are playing like pastry cooks': Dutch icon Van Basten

Van Basten believes that Messi is unhappy with the on- and off-the-pitch situation at Barca.

The Dutchman also says that the scandal involving Griezmann hasn't benefited Leo.

"Messi and Griezmann are playing badly. They're playing like pastry cooks. Messi isn't happy with the situation in and around Barcelona. And also that mess with Griezmann. It's an accumulation. We don't see the person we know," three-times Ballon d'Or winner Marco van Basten has told Ziggo Sport.

Pastry cooks or not, it's true that Messi and Griezmann haven't had the best start of the season. So far, Leo has registered six goals in 11 matches, with five of them coming from the penalty spot. As for Antoine, he's recorded two goals and one assist in 10 games.
