Messi and Ter Stegen nominated for Best Fifa awards

Lionel Messi has been included in the 11-man shortlist for The Best FIFA Men's Player in 2020.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen, meanwhile, has made the list for the Goalkeeper of the Year award.

Thiago Alcantara, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, Sadio Mane, Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Sergio Ramos, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk will rival the Barcelona captain for the prize.

The German's fellow nominees are Alisson Becker, Thibaut Courtois, Keylor Navas, Manuel Neuer and Jan Oblak.

The winners in each category will be announced at The Best FIFA Football Award ceremony on December 17.
