Olivier Giroud set for January move to David Beckham’s Inter Miami

Olivier Giroud to Inter Miami

David Beckham’s MLS side Inter Miami want to make a January move for Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud.

The Frenchman has made just one start under Frank Lampard this season and requires more regular pitch time to make Didier Deschamps’ Euro 2020 squad.

Deschamps has urged the country’s second-highest goalscorer to seek a January transfer, while Inter Miami are desperate to add quality to their ranks after struggling in their debut season.

Lampard admitted that after another fine display, the Chelsea coaches know they can depend on Timo Werner.

Inter believe Giroud could create a formidable partnership with his former Chelsea team-mate, Gonzalo Higuain – according to The Mirror.

Giroud’s agent Michael Manuello has branded Chelsea’s treatment of the striker as ‘unfair’ and said that he will consider his options in the January transfer window if his situation remains the same.

‘But we have to be honest, and if this continues, we will have to, first and foremost for him, experience other emotions.’
