Solskjaer Reveals Serious Worries Behind Lindelof Long-Term Back Injury

Lindelof Long-Term Back Injury

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be without defender Victor Lindelof for Manchester United’s Premier League clash against West Brom.

The manager has expressed his concerns for the centre-back’s long-term back injury.

The Swede picked up the problem on the international break, playing in the 2-1 win against Croatia before being forced off in the 4-2 loss to France.

And the Red Devils boss has admitted that he is feeling concerned that the injury could stick around this season.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference on Friday, the Norwegian said: “We’ll have to check Victor tomorrow because his back is not great.

“He had it last season as well, and I think it’s more to do with when the games come thick and fast. I think when he gets a few days of extra recovery he should be alright.

“He felt really well and comfortable in the first game for Sweden, after the rest in the friendly game.

“Then he started feeling it again against France and the games are coming thick and fast.

“It is an issue that we have to manage but hopefully we don’t have to do any surgery or anything serious.”
