Solskjaer’s Sack: Ed Woodward Decides When To Make The Call

Solskjaer’s Sack Ed Woodward Decides

Manchester United could be set to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the Norwegian’s job coming under increasing pressure after yet another poor result.

The Red Devils will not have to pay any compensation fee if they are to agree a deal to make Mauricio Pochettino their new manager after that deadline passed in May.

And as confirmed by Manchester Evening News on Thursday, should Solskjaer lose his job, Pochettino is United’s first choice to replace him.

There have been suggestions that if United fail to bounce back and beat Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday, it could spell the end of his tenure with the club.

United have already sounded out the Argentinian and after making contact with his representatives, discovered he is keen to take on the role.

It is understood United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward is reluctant to sack  Solskjaer so early in the season, but could be forced into the decision unless there is a dramatic upturn in form.

Defeat to Everton this weekend could see United drop to 17th in the league table and ahead of the international break, Woodward could make the call.
