Arsenal striker Aubameyang fined by CAF for Instagram posts

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was handed a $10,000 fine for tarnishing the "honour and image" of the African Confederation of Football by calling their organizational capacity into question.

Last month the Arsenal skipper and his teammates were forced to sleep on the floor of the airport in Gambia ahead of Gabon's AFCoN qualifier after their passports were withheld for 5 hours.

The striker aimed a series of posts on Instagram at CAF, saying this is not the image the federation wants to project to the world. Now Auba is slapped with a fine for basically telling the truth.

CAFs disciplinary committee found the posts "offensive and degrading". Mercifully, they did fine Gambia's FA $100,000 too - for being directly involved in that nightmare.
