Barcelona presidential candidates all want Dortmund's Michael Zorc as Barcelona's sporting director

Zorc's succees hasn't gone unnoticed as he is reportedly seen as the one to build a new team at Camp Nou.

Several Barcelona presidential candidates want to appoint Borussia Dortmund's Michael Zorc as the Catalans' next sporting director, according to reputable Oriol Domenech of Catalunya Radio.

"Zorc's name will come out in the electoral campaign," he said on Esport 3. "More than one of the candidates is chasing him to be their sporting director."

Zorc's latest masterstroke was Erling Haaland's €20m move to BVB from Red Bull Salzburg in January.

The Norwegian has scored 33 goals in 32 appearances for Dortmund since then.

The thing is that Zorc has been Borussia's sporting director since 1998 and it's unclear if the German would want to quit his boyhood club.
