Super Eagles FIFA Ranking 35th

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have ended a rather difficult 2020 during which they failed to win a match as the 35th best team in the world along with Morocco.

According to the latest rankings released today by FIFA, Nigeria recorded a total of 1474 points in the outgoing year, same with the Atlas Lions of Morocco.

They are ranked fourth in Africa with Senegal the best ranked team at 20th in the world.

In a year ravaged by the Coronavirus Pandemic, the three-time African champions drew three matches and lost once.

Nigeria drew 4-4 and then 0-0 with Sierra Leone in AFCON qualifiers in November after they lost 1-0 to African champions Algeria and then drew 1-1 with Tunisia in friendly matches in Austria in October.

ernot Rohr and his men will again be back in action in March 2021 during which time they are expected to book their passage to the AFCON to be staged in Cameroon in 2022.
