Dean Henderson emphasis on desire to become Man United No.1

De Gea's poor show between the sticks has strengthened Dean's case further.

As reported by the MEN, Dean Henderson has spoken to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to remind him of his desire to become Man United's first-choice goalkeeper.

The 23-year-old was promised that he will start both games against Istanbul Basaksehir but there was a change in plans after our loss in the away fixture.

MEN understands Dean is "frustrated" with his lack of game time, despite signing a five-year contract with the Red Devils in August. The youngster, who started 36 league games for Sheffield United last season, is unwilling to wait on the sidelines for too long.

David De Gea was unable to defend our third goal against RB Leipzig, which ruined our chances of a draw to qualify to the Round of 16 of the Champions League.

The Spaniard hasn't been at his best in a long time and maybe it is time to take a chance on Henderson by starting him regularly.
