Simeone: 'Real Madrid deservedly won. They were superior and better from the beginning'

The Atletico Madrid boss says that his side only improved in the second half. However, that wasn't enough to beat the 'superior' Real Madrid side.

"They [Real Madrid] have deservedly won. They've been superior and better from the beginning. In the second half, we improved somewhat but they've been better," Diego Simeone told Movistar after Atletico's 2-0 loss to the Whites.

This is sort of surprising to hear these words from a manager who usually speaks a lot about poor refereeing and tries to defend his side by all means.

Atletico created few scoring chances throughout the full 90 minutes and looked really bleak upfront while Real Madrid could've scored even more.
