£110million Minused From Kylian Mbappe’s Transfer Value

Kylian Mbappe‘s transfer value has dropped by a staggering £110million, according to the CIES Football Observatory algorithm.

Seven months ago Mbappe was valued at a staggering £234m, and was the considered the most expensive player on the planet by some distance.

But now in January 2021, the Paris Saint-Germain forward is valued at £135m – a decline of £99m.

The coronavirus pandemic has had a huge economical impact on the world, and football has not been exempt from the feeling the pinch.

But it’s not all bad news where football valuations are concerned, with Marcus Rashford’s value actually increasing over the past seven months.

According to CIES Football Observatory, the Manchester United forward is now the most expensive player in the world, and is valued at £149m – a growth of £12m since June 2020.

Dortmund forward Erling Haaland is the second most expensive player in the world, and is valued at £137m, while Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold comes in third.

The young England right-back is valued at a huge £137m – a decrease of £17m compared to seven months ago.

The algorithm takes a number of things into account when landing on a valuation.
