Bruno, Maguire, Grealish Face Suspension As the EPL Enters Matchweek 19 (Details)

Coming into the matchweek 19, some players will not be featuring for their teams, as they have already exhausted their five yellow cards limit.

N’Golo Kante (Chelsea), Kelvin Philips (Leeds United), Conor Gallagher (West Brom), Ryan Fraser (Newcastle) and Abdoulaye Doucoure (Everton) will all miss their teams’ next fixtures — either in the matchweek 19 or 20.

In the category of players who are one yellow card away from suspension, there are about 23 players on the list, but only the very prominent ones will be examined. Three of these players belong to the Manchester United first team squad.

Jack Grealish (Aston Villa)

No one can talk about Aston Villa in this recent times without mentioning the name Jack Grealish. Grealish is currently the team’s strong pillar that fixes the Villa team among the good standing teams in the league.

Currently, Grealish has picked up 4 yellow cards this season. And to escape suspension, Grealish needs to avoid picking up another yellow card before their gameweek 22 match — which will be the team’s gameweek 20, due to two outstanding matches they currently have.

Bruno Fernandez (Manchester United)

The Manchester United midfield maestro is also on the brink of one game suspension, if he picks up another yellow card in any of the matches against Liverpool or Fulham — their 18th and 19th fixtures respectively.

Some weeks ago, until their last match against Burnley, Bruno was on three yellow cards. And now, if he does not caution himself in their next two coming league matches, Bruno will miss the teams matchweek 20.

Luke Shaw (Manchester United)

Luke Shaw is another player from the Manchester United first team squad to be faced with possible suspension, after picking up four yellow cards before the second half of the season.

Like Bruno, he also needs to avoid another yellow card in either of their matches between Liverpool or Fulham.

Harry Maguire (Manchester United)

Here comes Manchester United most consistent player. Since arriving in the 2019/20 summer transfer window, Maguire has featured in almost all the matches involving the team.

However, if the Manchester United skipper fails to keep a yellow-card clean sheet in their next two matches against Liverpool and Fulham, he will be suspended in the team’s game against Sheffield United.

Other Players on Four Yellow Cards

Matt Target (Aston Villa), John McGinn (Aston Villa), Lewis Dunk (Brighton), Ashley Westwood (Burnley), Luka Milivojevic (Crystal Palace), Allan (Everton), Bobby Decordova-Reid (Fulham), Christian Fuchs (Leicester City), Youri Tielemans (Leicester City), Nampalys Mendy (Leicester City), Mateuzs Klich (Leeds United), Jamal Lewis (Newcastle United), John Egan (Sheffield United), Sander Berge (Sheffield United), Ryan Bertrand (Southampton), Kyle Walker-Peters (Southampton), Pierre-Emile HĂžjbjerg (Tottenham), Harry Winks (Tottenham) and Nelson Semedo (Wolves).
