Fenerbahçe Officially Unveil Ozil, See First Official Images

Mesut Özil has been officially been unveiled as a Fenerbahçe player after terminating his contract with Arsenal earlier this month.

Over the weekend, Turkish Süper Lig giants Fenerbahçe released the first official images of the 32-year-old as a player of the club after Özil’s contract was terminated with the Gunners earlier in January.

After being frozen out at the Emirates Stadium by Mikel Arteta, the former Germany international elected to terminate his contract in North London prematurely and sign for his new side on a free transfer.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner made has joined Fenerbahçe on a three-and-a-half-year deal and enjoyed his first training session with his new teammates on Sunday.

Özil made 254 appearances during his time with Arsenal and scored 44 goals for the club, winning three FA Cup trophies along the way.
