On Friday, January 15, Barcelona's interim president Carles Tusquets held a meeting with presidential candidates Joan Laporta, Victor Font and Toni Freixa to discuss the upcoming election.
"We have made sure that the elections will be held as soon as possible, and the plan is to be in early March with maximum security," Victor Font has told Gol.
"The postponement will not have negative consequences."
Initially, the elections were meant to take place on January 24 but they've been postponed because of the epidemiological situation in Catalonia.
