'He'll have an MRI scan tomorrow': Arteta on Tierney injury

Arsenal was held to a goalless draw vs Crystal Palace with Kieran Tierney - a big reason behind West Brom's thumping - missing from the matchday squad. Pre-game it was reported as simple muscle tightness but Mikel Arteta says the left-back is set for a scan.

"Kieran Tierney is a real threat and the way we attack the left is really important but he is injured and we have to find a solution. He will have an MRI scan tomorrow," he told Sky Sports.

We are praying to God it's nothing serious because we don't even have Sead Kolasinac to fall back on now. It's likely between Ainsley Maitland-Niles (who has been woeful vs Palace) and Bukayo Saka (who is needed on the right-wing) for that left-back spot.

With Nico Pepe being unconvincing as he is, maybe it's time to give Reiss Nelson some minutes - or consider using one of Aubameyang/Martinelli on the right - when the latter recovers.
