Klopp to utilize 9-day rest ahead of Man United clash

Klopp's priority is to bring his players into playing rhythm so that they won't be stable in the top-of-the-table clash.

"Exactly, and that’s what we will do. That’s what we will do. It’s very important," Jurgen Klopp told BT Sport when asked if the focus shifts immediately on the Man United clash on January 17.

"We have a lot of players with no rhythm, so we will do a lot of 11 vs. 11 situations because that’s the most important thing for football players that we couldn’t give them too often. So now we have the time and we will use it for that, yes."

Unlike Liverpool, Man United have another Premier League game after they take on Watford in the FA Cup on Saturday night: on Tuesday, they are going to Burnley.
