Mount Becomes Tuchel's First Victim

Mason Mount is set to become the first casualty of the Thomas Tuchel era at Chelsea with the midfielder set to be named on the bench for tonight’s clash with Wolves.

The England international’s red-hot form has not been enough to keep him in the starting XI.

Chelsea were humbled 2-1 by Wolves at Molineux at the beginning of December and the defeat proved to be the beginning of the end for Frank Lampard.

Tuchel was official confirmed as Lampard’s successor yesterday and he took charge of training at Cobham in the evening.

According to The Athletic’s Simon Johnson, the German will ring the changes tonight as he looks to kickstart a new era.

Chelsea is set to start with a back three against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to start at right-back while Chelsea’s German contingent are set to reap the rewards of Tuchel’s appointment.

Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger are all set to start against Wolves.
