Nigerian Forward Takes Home Her First Career Trophy With New Club

Nigerian female attacker Rasheedat Ajibade won her first trophy of her professional football career with her new club Atletico Madrid Women.

The Nigerian striker (born 8 December 1999, age 21) recently moved to Spain from Norwegian club Avaldnes

She played in Norway from 2018-2020 and joined the Atletico Women’s team for an undisclosed fee.

Her team took on Levante in the final of the Spanish Super Cup on Saturday.

Even if Ajibade wasn’t part of the starting squad for the game, it was another African striker who stole the show. Ajara Nchout of Cameroon scored 2 goals and provided an assist to guide Atletico to a 3-0 victory on the day.

Rasheedat Ajibade took to her Twitter handle to celebrate the first trophy of her professional football career, giving “all glory to God”.
