Bruno Fernandes Claims He Helped Some Players To Be Better At Man Utd

Fernandes Helped Players Better Man Utd

Bruno Fernandes has been the star of the show for Manchester United since he arrived from Sporting Lisbon last January.

The midfielder has already chipped in 19 goals and 14 assists in 31 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils.

But the 26-year-old has insisted he is not single-handedly responsible for turning them into title contenders.

He said: “I’ve always been very demanding of myself but I came to a club that was very demanding.

“Maybe my mindset helped some players to be better.

“But it was not me changing the club. Manchester United means playing with pressure, responsibility.”

As things stand, United are top of the table with 36 points from 17 matches.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his men will hope to extend their lead with a win over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

Fernandes admitted his team are driven by their desire to stop Jurgen Klopp’s side equalling their record of 20 titles.

Solskjaer is the first Red Devils manager to be top of the table as late as this since Sir Alex Ferguson won the title in 2012-13.
