Former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato has opened the door to a return to Italy.
Pato has just been released by Sao Paulo and eyeing a return to Europe this year.
He declared, "I hear that there are clubs in A interested in me and I would like to say that at 31 I am looking for a project that I like and not a contract for the bank account. I think I can still stay in Serie A, my body is fine and my head is different from when you met me."
Asked if he would you accept a role as a backup for Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Milan, he replied: "I would say yes, what's the problem? It would take me a couple of games to convince the coach (laughs).
"Maybe we could play together. If he wants, (coach Stefano) Pioli can call me."
