Ronaldo And Messi Not In Pele’s FIFA 2021 Team Of The Year

Pele Snubs Ronaldo And Messi

Brazil legend Pele disclosed that neither the Barcelona skipper Lionel Messi nor Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo would make his FIFA 21 Team of the Year.

EA Sports has reached that time of the year where fans can cast their votes for the best players to make Team of the Year’s final XI.

And now Pele has also tweeted out his 11 players ahead of Team of the Year’s reveal on 22nd January.

The 80-year-old Santos icon revealed that Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson would take his place between the sticks.

Ahead of Alisson is a back four featuring Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back and Bayern Munich starlet Alphonso Davies at left-back.

Joining the full-backs is a centre-back partnership of Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and Chelsea defender Thiago Silva.

The three-time World Cup winner selected a three-man midfield comprised of Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, Real Madrid star Toni Kroos and Liverpool star Thiago.

Pele snubbed both Messi and Ronaldo as he selected Paris Saint-Germain duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Joining Mbappe and Neymar in the attacking trio is none other than Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, who helped fire the German side to a treble last season.
