Klopp Reveals What Liverpool Do Not Have Ahead Of Man City Clash

Klopp Liverpool Ahead Of Man City Clash

Liverpool were beaten 1-0 by Brighton on Wednesday night at Anfield after a goal from Steven Alzate.

That makes it back-to-back defeats at home for the Reds – and it marks a downturn in Liverpool’s form overall this calendar year, winning just two league games.

The Prem champions still sit fourth in the table but it does not get any easier for Liverpool, who face Manchester City next on Sunday – who are in fine form.

And Jurgen Klopp has identified what his side need to fix or face another Anfield defeat.

“The gap to City… I am the manager of Liverpool and so you ask and I have to say we want to be champions but you need games for it and we need performances for it and we don’t have that,” said Klopp.

“We fight for three points, it is not decided who will get the three points on Sunday.

“We have to play better and we will try.

“These gaps are not interesting at the moment.

“They are the result of the results we had already.

“What we can influence is the next game. Tonight it was not enough. We know that and we have to change that.”
