Man Utd Celebrate Jesse Lingard’s West Ham Two Goals Debut

Lingard's West Ham Two Goals Debut

Jesse Lingard bagged two goals on his debut for West Ham against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

The Manchester United man sealed a January loan move to the Hammers and immediately made his mark.

After being handed a start by David Moyes, the on-loan Manchester United man responded by notching twice as West Ham beat Aston Villa 3-1.

The east London side are in fine form this season and now sit in fifth, two points behind fourth-placed Liverpool with the win.

And the 28-year-old’s performance earned plenty of praise from some of his former team-mates.

Posting a picture of him celebrating on Instagram, Lingard captioned his post: “Perfect Start 2 Goals 3 Points.”

Marcus Rashford replied: “Congrats bro!!”

Jadon Sancho added: “Let’s gooo!”

Bruno Fernandes posted: “Uauuuu.”

Diogo Dalot replied: “HE’S BACK.”

Boss Moyes was also delighted with Lingard’s start and is hoping he can force his way back into the England fold.

“If he keeps up the form he showed tonight, and he is not completely matched fit, scoring the goals, he will not be far away from Gareth Southgate’s England squad in the summer.”
