Real Madrid President Perez confirms Modric's contract extension

The Croatian's renewal has been in the pipeline for several months already and AS recently revealed that Modric will sign new terms, complete with a reduced salary to help the club out.

Flo Perez has now gone on record to confirm Luka will stay for a further year.

Luka Modric will stay at Real Madrid for at least another year after president Florentino Perez confirmed the Croatian has signed an extension.

The extension has been in the pipeline for some time now - from January, as you can see from Romano's tweet - and AS reported last week that Modric accepted a pay cut to help the club out at a financially challenging time.

The Croatian remains one of Zizou's most trusted lieutenants and has missed only 2 league games this season, one of them last night, vs Cadiz - that's despite his age of 35 years.
