Ancelotti talk subbing in Rodrygo ahead of Hazard against Inter

Following the match against Inter Milan, Carlo Ancelotti was asked why he chose to sub Rodrygo ahead of Eden Hazard in the second half.

"I thought about subbing him on but I chose Rodrygo to open the play more," the coach replied.

"I asked Rodrygo not to think about minutes played, he did well. He helped out Carvajal and was good going forward - he’s calm, collected and knows how to score."

Real Madrid managed to win the match thanks to a late goal from Rodrygo. So far this term, the 20-year-old has played 87 minutes across five matches for the Blancos.
