PSG players rating in Brugge 1-1 draw with Messi 7 and Mbappe 8

Lionel Messi - 7/10

The Argentinean did a lot of useful teamwork but the world-famous Leo magic was missing. Rocked the crossbar once and could have assisted to Mbappe but still, Messi's CL debut at PSG went much more quiet than expected.

Kylian Mbappe - 8/10

The Frenchman was the most active and dangerous among the front three. Assisted to Herrera for the opener. Was just too unfortunate to pick a nasty knock. Had he stayed on the pitch, the result could have easily been more delightful for the visitors.

Keylor Navas - 8/10

The Costa-Rican had no chance to save the Brugge equaliser. But there were plenty of dangerous moments where he played just the way you would expect - saving shots, keeping his cool, instilling confidence in teammates.

Ander Herrera - 7.5/10

Scored the opener and dictated the tempo really well. Probably, the best midfielder in the PSG shirt tonight.

Leandro Paredes - 4/10

Unlike Herrera, Paredes was far from convincing in the Champions League opener. The Argentinean let De Ketelaere get past him, fouled the Brugge man in a dangerous position, got booked and provided neither defensive safety nor attacking threat. Was replaced at half-time and rightly so.
