Conte reveals Hakimi's dream Real Madrid dream

Antonio Conte spoke about his relationship with former Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi ahead of the Champions League clash between Inter and Real Madrid.

“Psychologically, Hakimi suffered a bit from last year’s matches with Real Madrid,” Conte said to Sky Sports Italia, speaking about last year's group stage clash between Inter and Madrid.

“His dream is to return to play with that club as a key man.”

“I remember those two games very well, in particular the unfortunate pass that led to Madrid going a goal up in Spain.

"From there he worked hard and I saw a young player who wanted to learn to work.

"If he still works on the last pass he becomes world-class,” Conte added.

Hakimi left Real Madrid for Inter Milan last September in a deal worth €43m. He spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Dortmund.

It's, however, unlikely that Hakimi ever achieves the dream Conte speaks of. The Moroccan recently penned a €60m deal to play for PSG.
