Man United beat West Ham away 2-1, Jesse Lingard scored the winner. The forward, however, refused to celebrate profusely.
The reason for this is West Ham is the club he spent the second half of the season in the previous campaign.
The London club helped Lingard rediscover his form as he scored 9 goals and made 5 assists in 16 games after barely scoring a goal for Man United in two years.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo believed Lingard had to celebrate. The Portuguese approached his teammate, hugged and pushed him forward.
Lingard smiled but seemed to stay respectful to the home crowd.
