Koeman reveals Dembele will be a vital player to Barca when he recovers

"What am I waiting for from Ousmane Dembele? First of all, that he extends his contract, as he is in his last year and it is important for the club that he extends," Ronald Koeman has told Diario Sport.

"Dembele is a very, very good player and is doing well physically. He is great in one-on-one situations, is very fast, and can play on both wings. When he recovers, he will be a vital player on this team."

Dembele is currently recovering after undergoing yet another surgery back in the summer.

After being virtually absent the year before, Ousmane had a good 2020/21 season at Barcelona. The 24-year-old played 44 matches for the Catalans, scoring 11 goals and providing five years.
