PSG players Rating vs Clermont with Mbappe 10, and Herrera 9

PSG recorded an emphatic victory against Clermont, and Tribuna.com assesses the players.

Kylian Mbappe: 10. The 22-year-old was absolutely unplayable today. Clermont defenders could just watch Kylian gliding past them as he operated on a super-human speed.

Mbappe was crucial to our second and third goals with his movement. He played an important role in the opener as defenders tried to cover him, thus leaving enough time and space for Herrera to put the ball into the net.

Ander Herrera: 9. A surprising brace for the midfielder but a deserved one as his finishing was top-notch today.

The Spaniard was in the right place at the right time, showing he has a goalscoring instinct and could be an ace in Pochettino's sleeve when the team is struggling for goals.

Marquinhos: 9. Fantastic distribution from the defender. He has successfully taken the role of Thiago Silva as a deep-lying playmaker, starting the attack that led to PSG's second goal with a wonderful long-range pass.

Was absolutely impeccable at the back, making a crucial block in PSG's penalty box and stopping Clermont's arguably best attack of the evening.

Gianluigi Donnarumma: 8. An evening to remember for the Italian who made his PSG debut today. The goalie made several good saves and exuded confidence, inspiring PSG to their second clean sheet of the season. Was cool and composed under pressure.

Achraf Hakimi: 8. The full-back caused all sorts of trouble to Clermont on the right-hand side and played a crucial role in the build-up to Herrera's goal.

Julian Draxler: 7. Could have done more with his chance but his delicious long ball to set up Mbappe's goal in the 53rd minute deserves a mention.

Others: Diallo, Kimpembe, Gueye 7; Danilo, Rafinha 6.5; Kehrer 6; Icardi 5.5, Ebimbe, Bitumazala, Nuno N/A.
