PSG to battle Barcelona for the signature of AC Milan's Franck Kessie

Barcelona will face another stand-off with PSG for the signature of combative midfield dynamo Franck Kessie, Mundo Deportivo report.

AC Milan are at a standstill with Kessie as regards extending his contract - Milan's current deal with the Ivorian expires next summer.

The fact the 24-year-old will be available as a free agent next summer (if he doesn't extend) has put Europe's biggest clubs on red alert.

Barcelona are keen on a powerful midfielder next summer and have already been linked with Manchester United's Paul Pogba. If Barca are to pursue Kessie instead, they could face a familiar adversary in PSG.

The Parisians beat Barca to the signing of Gini Wijnaldum last summer, by offering the Dutchman a higher salary.
