Saul reveals Tuchel words that convince him to join Chelsea

Chelsea signed Saul Niguez to bolster their midfield and have 4 viable options to compete on all fronts and deal with injuries.

The Spaniard seems to be taking to life in London fast, and Nizaar Kinsella has now explained what Thomas Tuchel told Saul to convince him to join.

During a phone call, Tuchel explained his idea to use Saul solely as a central midfielder, rather than moving him around the pitch as Simeone had grown accustomed to doing.

Saul himself spoke about it, saying: "Chelsea has promised me to train in my position [midfield], but to play we will see. To return to certain roles that I do not play in now - that is the most important reason for my decision.

"This transfer is a step out of my comfort zone for me. I believe that you will see a new Saul in a new [better] place."

Where the Spaniard plays remains to be seen but there is good reason to believe that Blues fans will likely see him thriving in midfield.
