Ancelotti addresses Isco situation after player refused to warm up during Granada game
During the press conference ahead of the Sheriff Tiraspol game, Carlo Ancelotti was asked to comment on his relationship with Isco following the Granada incident.
"I don't have to talk to Isco [about the situation], I am very fond of him. I told him to warm up a little more, he told me that he was already warmed up and ready, he came on," the Real Madrid coach responded.
"No need to try and find fault in this. He has never disrespected me, he is a professional."
After the Granada game, Ancelotti reported that Isco got mad at Ancelotti during the game against Granada as he was told that he would be the last player to be subbed on. Thus, he refused to do extra warm-ups.
This term so far, the 29-year-old has played just 176 minutes across 7 games for Real Madrid, scoring a goal. His contract expires at the end of the season and it doesn't look like the Whites plan on offering him an extension.
